Role Description

This is Marine Pilot role on a contract basis in Krishnapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. The Marine Pilot will be responsible for safely guiding and maneuvering vessels during arrival, departure, and shifting within port limits, including berthing and unberthing operations.





Daily tasks include:

• Conducting pilotage and advising Masters on navigation within harbor waters.

• Coordinating with Port Control and tug operators.

• Ensuring compliance with local regulations and international maritime standards.

• Monitoring weather and tidal conditions, verifying navigational plans, and contributing to safe vessel movements.

• Participating in safety drills, incident reporting, emergency duties and continuous improvement of port marine operations.

• Maintaining clear communication with ship masters, and shore-based teams.

• Solid competence in ship handling, pilotage, and harbor navigation across vessel types.

• Solid understanding of international and national maritime regulations, port by-laws, and safety/environmental standards (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL).
