BLS/ACLS certification will be an added advantage.
Experience:
Fresh MBBS graduates or candidates with 0–3 years of clinical experience are eligible.
Experience in a multispecialty hospital will be preferred.
Job Summary:
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for providing round-the-clock medical care to admitted patients, assisting consultants in patient management, responding to medical emergencies, and ensuring timely documentation and coordination of patient care. The RMO works closely with consultants, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver protected, ethical, and high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Responsibilities
Assess, examine, and manage admitted patients under the guidance of consultants.
Perform detailed history taking and physical examinations.
Monitor patients' clinical condition and initiate appropriate management in consultation with the treating consultant.
Attend emergency cases and provide immediate medical care.
Stabilize critically ill patients before referral or transfer to ICU.
Assist consultants during clinical procedures and patient management.
Patient Care
Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor patient progress.
Order and interpret routine investigations as advised by consultants.
Ensure timely administration of treatment plans.
Communicate effectively with patients and their attendants regarding treatment updates.
Coordinate patient care with nursing staff and other departments.
Documentation
Prepare admission notes, progress notes, discharge summaries, referral notes, and death summaries.
Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
Ensure all documentation complies with hospital policies and NABH standards.
Complete discharge documentation on the same day as advised by the treating consultant.
