The App Release Manager will own the end-to-end deployment lifecycle for high-impact citizens, residents, and business-facing digital platforms. You will guard production stability by coordinating complex deployment pipelines across multi-vendor teams. This role ensures 100% compliance with strict federal security standards and UAE digital government guidelines.
Core Responsibilities
- Governance & Stage Gates: Establish and enforce strict release gates. Validate that code signing, vulnerability scanning, and performance benchmarks meet government criteria before production deployment.
- App Store Sovereignty: Manage corporate accounts on Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console. Ensure all applications comply with regional UAE policies, accessibility mandates, and local content laws.
- Deployment Strategies: Plan and execute zero-downtime deployment strategies. Utilize automated phased rollouts, canary deployments, and feature flags to minimize service disruption for citizens.
- Cross-Vendor Orchestration: Coordinate schedules and resolve workplace dependencies across diverse system integrators, internal development teams, and external QA vendors.
- Environment Control: Oversee configuration management and data masking protocols across development, staging, pre-production, and production environments.
- Rollback & Incident Response: Formulate comprehensive fallback protocols. Lead the release mitigation response alongside the SecOps team if high-severity issues arise post-deployment.
Key Requirements
Experience & Background
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 58 years in Release Management, DevOps, or Software Configuration Management.
- Sector Experience: At least 2 years working within a UAE government entity, semi-government organization, or on critical national infrastructure projects.
