Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Finance & Accounts Specialist with strong expertise in donor reporting, balance sheet finalization, and taxation (including GST) for not-for-profit organisations. The role owns financial reporting to institutional donors, year-end balance sheet closure, and statutory tax compliance, working closely with programme, audit, and donor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate, timely financial reports and utilization certificates to institutional clients in line with donor-specific formats, guidelines, and deadlines.

• Monitor donor budgets against actuals, flag variances, and support budget revisions and no-cost extensions as required.

• Finalise the balance sheet and year-end accounts, including schedules, ledger reconciliations, and closing entries in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

• Ensure full compliance with GST, TDS, and income tax provisions applicable to not-for-profit entities, including timely return filing and reconciliation.





• Maintain compliance with FCRA and other statutory regulations governing foreign-funded NGOs.

• Coordinate statutory, internal, and donor-mandated audits; prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries and management letters. • Maintain accurate books of account in Tally/ERP, ensuring proper cost-centre and grant-wise tagging of transactions.

• Strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and SOPs across the finance function.

• Manage cash flow, fund utilization tracking, and periodic MIS reporting to leadership.

• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior accounts staff.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• CA / CA (Inter) / CMA / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualified qualification.

• 7 to 10+ years of progressive finance and accounts experience, with a significant portion in the not-for-profit / development sector. • Demonstrated experience in donor reporting and compliance for institutional donors such as UNICEF,
