[email protected] of the RoleThe Manager / Head – Electrical Department will be responsible for leading the Electrical Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) function of the power plant. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical systems, minimises plant downtime, and drives continuous improvement in electrical performance and compliance.Key Responsibilities1. Operations & MaintenanceLead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all electrical equipment.Ensure reliable operation of generators, excitation systems, transformers, switchgear, motors, and DG sets.Oversee operation and maintenance of HT/LT power distribution systems.Manage 33 kV transmission lines (internal and external) supporting plant operations.2.
System Reliability & OptimizationImprove equipment reliability through monitoring and analysis of MTBF and MTTR.Implement advanced diagnostic techniques such as thermal imaging and vibration analysis.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical system efficiency and availability.3. Troubleshooting & Emergency ResponseLead root cause analysis (RCA) for major electrical breakdowns and failures.Ensure immediate corrective actions during emergencies to minimize plant downtime.Maintain high standards of electrical safety during all operations and maintenance activities.4. Team LeadershipSupervise, train, and mentor electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.Develop strong in-house O&M; capability and promote a robust safety culture.Ensure proper manpower planning and skill development within the department.5. Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with Mechanical, C&I;, and Operations teams for seamless plant functioning.Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to electrical performance, energy consump
