Role Description
The HVAC Design Engineer role at Canter Engineers Limited is a full-time, on-site position located in Thane. The HVAC Design Engineer will be responsible for designing HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, including load calculations, equipment selection, ducting and piping layouts, and preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.



The role includes coordinating with internal design teams and external stakeholders, reviewing and integrating HVAC designs with electro-mechanical, fire-fighting, PHE, and civil/structural work, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks involve preparing BOQs, supporting tender documentation, performing design reviews, addressing technical queries during execution, and providing design-related support through project commissioning and handover.

Qualifications
- Strong HVAC design skills, including heat load calculations, equipment selection, duct and piping design, and system layout preparation.
- Proficiency in design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD (and preferably Revit or other BIM software) for preparing drawings and schematics.
- Sound knowledge of relevant HVAC standards, building codes, and guidelines (ASHRAE, IS codes, energy efficiency norms, and ventilation requirements).
