Role & responsibilities
- Develop high-quality surface and volume FE meshes for Automotive Interior Plastic Parts (Instrument Panel/Dashboard) using ANSA.
- Perform geometry cleanup, mid-surface extraction, and mesh quality checks as per customer standards.
- Create and validate connections including RBE2, RBE3, CBUSH, welds, bolts, and contacts.
- Assign material properties and thickness to FE models.
- Review and validate vendor-delivered mesh models and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Coordinate with external vendors for quality improvements, rework, and timely delivery.
- Prepare FE models for Crash and Durability simulations.
- Ensure compatibility of models for Abaqus and LS-DYNA simulation handoff.
- Analyze customer inputs, prepare technical understanding documents, and estimate project effort.
- Clarify technical queries with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support project planning, execution, and delivery within defined timelines.
- Deliver validated FE models for Baseline, Loop-1, and Loop-2 simulation activities.




- Collaborate with CAE simulation teams to resolve model-related issues.
- Maintain project documentation and adhere to OEM/Tier-1 quality standards.
- Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining high-quality engineering standards.

Preferred candidate profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- 35 years of hands-on experience in Automotive CAE Meshing.
- Strong expertise in ANSA for surface and volume meshing.
- Experience in Instrument Panel (IP)/Dashboard and Automotive Interior Plastic Parts meshing.
- Positive understanding of Crash and Durability FE model preparation.
- Proficient in mesh quality checks, geometry cleanup, and mid-surface extraction.
- Hands-on experience with RBE2, RBE3, CBUSH, welds, bolts, contacts, material and thickness assignment.
- Familiarity with Abaqus and/or LS-DYNA model requirements for simulation handoff.
- Experience reviewing and validating vendor-delivered FE mesh models
