The TGT Mathematics Teacher is responsible for teaching mathematics to students of Classes VI–X, creating an engaging learning environment, fostering analytical and problem-solving skills, and ensuring academic excellence in accordance with the school's curriculum and educational philosophy.
Key Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to students of Classes VI–X.
- Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly lesson plans.
- Deliver interactive and concept-based classroom instruction.
- Use innovative teaching methods, ICT tools, and activity-based learning.
- Conduct regular assessments, assignments, and examinations.
- Evaluate answer sheets and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain students' academic records and progress reports.
Student Development
- Identify individual learning needs and provide remedial support.
- Encourage logical reasoning, critical thinking, and mathematical aptitude.
- Motivate students to participate in Mathematics Olympiads, quizzes, and competitions.
- Mentor students for academic and personal growth.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment.
- Ensure effective classroom engagement and participation.
- Promote inclusive learning practices.
Curriculum & Planning
- Follow the prescribed curriculum and syllabus.
- Prepare question papers, worksheets, projects, and learning resources.
- Participate in curriculum review and academic planning meetings.
Co-curricular Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing mathematics exhibitions, STEM activities, and school events.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school functions.
- Perform examination duties and other responsibilities assigned by the school.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree with Mathematics as a major subject.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- CTET/State TET qualified (preferred or mandatory as per school norms).
- Robust subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Excellent communication skills
