About this prospect
- Support inbound logistics covering international transportation, customs clearance and delivery of raw materials, equipment, spare parts and retrofits from different suppliers and origins to local plant for manufacturing of products in India
- Oversee and manage supply chain operations and fulfilment of products to meet customer’s demand
- Manage and monitor freight and logistics partners’ performance for shipping, brokerage and domestic distribution
- Spearhead expansion of local logistics network to enhance operational coverage and capabilities in India
- Support RFQ, govern rates and surcharges, and oversee freight audit and payments
- Responsible for logistics carriers’ introduction, evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding.
- Understand and navigate complex and challenging local customs, tax and distribution landscape – act as key contact point with Customs, clearing houses,
and related regulatory bodies
- Monitor transportation budget/cost with analysis of logistics spends and manage cost-to-serve outcomes
- Resolve shipping and distribution related feedback and escalation with systematic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions - Preventive Actions (CAPA) Plan
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations and processes with objectives of
- Reducing cost / 2. shortening fulfilment lead-time / 3. enhancing customer experienceSupport Trade Compliance program in terms of records keeping and local audits
