Role: We are looking for a Senior Proposal Engineer with solid experience in technical and commercial proposal preparation for Industrial Power Generation (IPG) or steam turbine products for heavy engineering/ manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate should be capable of interpreting customer RFQs, preparing competitive proposals, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely, accurate bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage technical & commercial proposals for engineering projects.
- Interpret customer RFQs, specifications, and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Finance, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Review costing, pricing, scope, and proposal documentation.
- Conduct technical and commercial risk assessments.
- Ensure high-quality, on-time proposal submissions.
- Support customer clarifications and mentor junior engineers.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 4~7 years of proposal engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing/industrial engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of RFQs, tendering, cost estimation, commercial proposals, and technical documentation.
- Excellent coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Steam Turbine / IPG Turbine projects.
- Exposure to SAP/ERP and CRM systems.
- Risk assessment and bid management experience.
- Team mentoring and customer interaction skills.
