Role & responsibilities

Process Improvement & Productivity
- Contribute to Improving productivity by changing tools, modifying fixtures, and programming CNC/VMC machines for assigned production lines.
- Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for all lines and implement corrective actions to improve OEE%.
- Reduce job change setup time in line with defined targets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (CFT) for input shaft processing, part proving, and process validation.
- Attend DQRM meetings to support data-driven decision-making and risk management.
- Manage shift manpower effectively to ensure smooth and productive operations.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure shopfloor safety by adopting best light curtain practices and conducting frequent safety audits.
- Promote compliance with EHS and organizational safety standards.

Tool & Cost Management
- Reduce tool costs in machining processes (bolt-hole carbide drills, EHB, SHB, etc.).




- Monitor tool consumption and tool life across all lines, collect daily data, and implement actions to extend tool life.
- Reduce U-drill breakage in eye-hole boring through monitoring, analysis, and corrective measures.
- Optimize cost per component (CPC) in gang milling by monitoring insert (e.g., SNMX 09) life.

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

Essential
- Good technical expertise in CNC/VMC operations, fixture handling, and machining process improvements.
- Knowledge of quality systems, problem-solving tools (7QC, Why-Why, Fishbone), and root cause analysis.
- Understanding of safety standards, compliance requirements, and shopfloor best practices.
- Ability to guide operators/technicians, provide training, and support skill development.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
