Role Description
The HCC Certified Medical Coder is a full-time, in office role based in the Greater Chennai Area. In this position, the professional reviews medical records to assign accurate Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) and ICD-10 codes in accordance with payer guidelines,



regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include validating documentation to support risk adjustment coding, identifying incomplete or unclear records, and collaborating with clinical and RCM teams to resolve coding-related queries. The role also involves meeting productivity and accuracy targets, staying current with evolving coding updates and payer policies, and contributing to process improvements that enhance compliance and revenue integrity. The coder is expected to adhere to organizational policies, maintain patient confidentiality, and support a culture of quality and accountability.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in medical coding, particularly HCC and ICD-10, with a strong understanding of risk adjustment coding and payer-specific guidelines.
