EHS skilled is responsible for implementation of EHS standard frameworks, procedures drive key sustainability project at workplace and establish proactive EHS culture in the organization. This role must demonstrate strong leadership quality, technical assistance to the management to achieve the EHS excellence in the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assures compliance with OSHA, lockout/tagout, PPE, ergonomics, safety training and EPA compliance of plant
- Successful implementation of programs to meet local, state, and national level legal compliance, including employee training and drive behavioural-based culture practices by closely working with leaders and employees to find and resolve risks.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program in accordance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Establish and maintain facility specific management plans for hazardous waste and non-hazardous materials.
- Maintain all environmental reports,
permits and recordkeeping requirements to operate the facility and on-site equipment. Analyze systemic incident causes and assist in developing and implementing corrective actions. Evaluate first aids, near misses and recordable accidents to drive proactive programs to prevent future recordable accidents
- Audit treatment, storage, disposal and recycling facilities that handle, process and dispose all operational wastes.
- Drive key sustainability project in the organization (Energy conservation, waste reduction, resource optimization, water conservation)
- Perform root cause analysis on accidents and injuries to determine specific actions needed to prevent their reoccurrence.
- Organize and manage facility teams with an emphasis on employee safety.
- Conduct safety inspections layered audit in the facility.
- Provide technical expertise on safety, health, fire and environmental conditions
