Role

As the Assistant Manager / Officer-in-Charge (Sociologist), you will lead the implementation of the Wayanad Human-Wildlife Conflict Mitigation Project. You will oversee field operations, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, engage with government agencies and local communities, manage project resources, and ensure timely delivery of conservation outcomes while maintaining compliance with organisational and donor requirements.

Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of the approved Project Implementation Plan (PIP).
- Coordinate field interventions, conflict mitigation activities, monitoring, and rapid response initiatives.




- Supervise project staff and ensure timely execution of project activities.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, donor updates, and project documentation.
- Support scientific publications, outreach materials, and communication initiatives.
- Organise capacity-building programmes, training workshops, and community awareness activities.
- Manage project budgets, financial documentation, and donor compliance.
- Coordinate with Forest Departments, government agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders.
- Maintain project databases, monitoring systems, asset registers, and reporting documentation.
- Oversee administrative processes, HR coordination, and field station management.
- Support emergency response initiatives related to human-wildlife conflict.

Requirements
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Social Work, Anthropology, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience
