Job Summary
The Finance Project Manager will be responsible for managing the financial planning, budgeting, cost control, profitability analysis, and commercial performance of manufacturing. The role involves close coordination with project, procurement, sales, production, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure projects are completed within budget while maximizing profitability and maintaining financial compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Prepare project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Develop project cash flow plans.
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
- Conduct budget variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare annual and quarterly financial plans for ongoing projects.
- Track project-wise profitability and margins.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure project costs remain within approved budgets.
- Review project financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct project profitability analysis.
- Prepare project P&L; statements.
- Perform break-even and ROI analysis.
- Monitor project cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Prepare management reports and financial dashboards.
Commercial & Contract Management:
- Review customer contracts from a financial perspective.
- Evaluate payment terms, milestones, retention clauses, and bank guarantees.
- Assess financial risks associated with contracts.
- Support commercial negotiations with customers and vendors.
- Monitor project billing and collections.
Project Monitoring:
- Track project financial progress against budgets.
- Monitor cost overruns and schedule deviations.
