Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and analyze security events and incidents detected by security monitoring systems and tools.

2. Perform initial triage of security alerts to determine their nature, severity, and potential impact.

3. Investigate and respond to low-level security incidents based on established procedures and guidelines.

4. Escalate complex or high-impact security incidents to higher-level SOC analysts or appropriate teams for further investigation and resolution.

5. Collaborate with other teams within the organization, including IT, network operations, and incident response, to facilitate timely incident resolution.

6. Maintain accurate records of security incidents, including the details of the incident, response actions taken, and outcomes.

7. Generate regular reports on security incidents, trends, and activities to provide insights into the organization's security posture.

8. Monitor and analyze security logs, events, and alerts from various security technologies, including intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS),



and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

9. Participate in the development and enhancement of SOC procedures, processes, and documentation.

10. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, A+, N+) may be considered in lieu of a degree.

2. Robust knowledge of information security principles, concepts, and best practices.

3. Familiarity with security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus/anti-malware, and endpoint protection. 4. Experience with security incident response procedures and methodologies.

5. Proficient in log analysis, event correlation, and threat hunting techniques.
