Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
- Build and enhance Django-based operational platforms, APIs, and internal tools.
- Develop and manage ETL, data ingestion, validation, enrichment, and transformation pipelines.
- Design workflow automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and data quality.
- Build and maintain web scraping solutions using Scrapy, Playwright, Requests, or similar tools.
- Manage supplier product, nutrition, pricing, and operational data across the platform.
- Ensure data accuracy, traceability, consistency, and auditability.
- Develop algorithms for data validation, anomaly detection, matching, and quality control.
- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities to improve data intelligence and automation workflows.
- Optimize PostgreSQL databases and backend system performance.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, Operations, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Contribute to platform architecture, coding standards, and technical best practices.




- Manage Docker-based deployments and support modern development workflows using Git.

Preferred candidate profile
- 5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Django and Django Admin.
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade backend systems and APIs.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design principles.
- Hands-on experience with ETL, data engineering, workflow automation, and data pipelines.
- Experience with web scraping frameworks such as Scrapy, Playwright, Requests, or Selenium.
- Valuable understanding of Docker, Git, CI/CD, and software development best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills.
- Experience working with large structured and semi-structured datasets.
- Ability to work independently in a high-ownership environment.

Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills:
- FastAPI experience.
- Airflow, Celery, Rabbi
