Roles:
To design all the aggregates and assist development of components to integrate various vehicle systems and customer requirements into a EV vehicle platform.
Responsibilities:
- EV Vehicle specifications finalization
- Vehicle Development from Concept to Production stage & co-ordination for various sections/departments
- Maintain all product lines including; troubleshooting, analysing, and resolving product issues.
- Troubleshoot design related issues in production
- Packaging & integrating vehicle systems into a vehicle.
- Monitor Virtual vehicle layout & finalize P&H; (Proportions & Hard points)
- Responsible for all Design & Drawing
- Developing the Design standards and Best Design Practices
- Bench marking of EV Vehicle design parameters.
- Vehicle Bill of material & Cost target control.
- The team of design Engineers for EV Vehicle design & development for Recent EV Vehicles.
- Conduct calculations related to sizing and selection of parts,
tolerance stacking and design verification through CAE tools
- Ensure that design changes to products comply with regulatory requirements (ex. NACE, API, UL, PED)
- Participate in or conduct design reviews, provide feedback, using appropriate tools, i.e. FMEA, analyses, field and lab testing.
- Participate in or conduct cost-out projects related product design. Reduce cost of the product by using VAVE approach
- Improve product quality and upgrade designs to meet customer requirements.
- Creative and passionate about creating solutions to customer problems.
- Assist other functions during proto-type building, testing, piloting and ramp-up phases of a project
- Resolution of end customer complaints through root-cause analysis along with CFT
- Conduct field visits to resolve customer complaints and supplier visits to understand manufacturing processes to resolve issues.
