Role Description
The Junior Safety Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai, working within construction project environments. The role involves supporting the implementation of health and safety policies, conducting routine site inspections, and assisting in identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions. The Junior Safety Officer will help maintain safety documentation, participate in toolbox talks, and support safety training sessions for site personnel. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with accident and incident reporting, coordinating with security and site management to ensure compliance with safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safe work practices. The position requires close collaboration with senior safety staff, project teams, and contractors to uphold safety standards and improve overall site safety performance.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with an understanding of construction site safety practices and relevant regulations.




- Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation, including basic incident reporting, root cause identification, and support in implementing preventive measures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Security and site safety coordination, with the ability to work with security teams to manage access control and safe work areas.
- Candidates should possess skills in Safety Training, such as assisting in toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for site workers.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of local safety legislation and construction safety standards in India is beneficial.
- Robust observation, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to follow procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
