Job Description

MSSRF is building a multi-year platform on women s leadership, innovation and gender-just rural transformation under its women in agri-food and rural systems initiative. The work is focused on advancing the national Women in Agriculture and Rural Systems Awards, supporting strategic field-linked initiatives, and shaping an emerging observatory-style platform on women-centred design, knowledge, partnerships and future pathways. The initiative spans research, coordination, communications, convening and implementation support across national and state-level work, and involves working across multiple stakeholders and workstreams in a energetic, collaborative environment.

The Programme Fellows will support the Secretariat for MSSRF s national awards platform for women in agriculture and rural systems. The role will involve hands-on coordination, administration, documentation, outreach follow-up, nomination support, pre-screening, verification assistance, jury preparation and event-related support. The position will require regular communication with nominees, nominators,



partner organisations, MSSRF teams and other stakeholders. Since many nominees may be grassroots women or community-based organisations, the Fellows will also provide handholding support to help them understand the process, complete nomination forms and submit required documents.

The Fellows will be expected to work flexibly as part of a small Secretariat and support all coordination, documentation and operational tasks required to move the awards process forward. The position will report to the JSW Chair for Women in Agriculture Rural Systems and work closely with the secretariat team, where applicable.

Key responsibilities include:
- Support the awards Secretariat with nomination outreach, partner follow-up, application tracking, documentation and coordination.
- Assist nominees, nominators and partner organisations with completing forms, compiling documents and submitting nominations
