A meaningful clinical role for a compassionate physician committed to delivering quality general medical care within a residential mental health setting, three days a week.
About the Role

The General Physician at The Banyan’s ECRC will provide comprehensive medical care to residents living with mental illness and complex physical health needs. The role involves day-to-day clinical management, collaboration with the psychiatry team, and a commitment to holistic, person-centred care.This is a deeply purposeful position situated within a values-driven residential care environment.
Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Assessment & Medical Management
Conduct daily medical rounds; assess, diagnose,



and manage acute and chronic physical health conditions among residents.

2. Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration
Work alongside psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to deliver integrated, person-centred care plans.

3. Emergency Response & Hospital Coordination
Manage medical emergencies; coordinate hospital referrals, admissions, and follow-up care.

4. Medication & Treatment Oversight
Prescribe and review medications; monitor treatment responses; ensure protected medication management practices.

5. Documentation & Clinical Records
Maintain accurate and timely medical records; prepare referral letters, case summaries, and clinical reports.

*The role also involves participating in care reviews, supporting health education for staff, and contributing to quality improvement and audit processes within the ECRC.*
Eligibility
- MBBS; PG qualification (MD / DNB) preferred
- Valid registration with Medical Council
- Experience in general medic
