Purpose of the Job (Contribution by this job to the organisation)
This position involves a focused approach to core quality control, assurance and fabrication inspection / testing activities of the company.
Scope / Impact (Areas where the job will have direct impact on)
Rework reduction, quality of product, process control,
controlling customer complaint.
Broad Role & Responsibility (State the role this job plays in the organisation)
1. Incoming inspection: Ensure all raw material and bought-out items are inspected as per process.
2. In-process inspection: Co-ordinate with PRO and PRJ to carry out all in-process inspection as applicable.
3. Final inspection and customer co-ordination: Carry out final inspection of the product. Co-ordinate with them to ensure smooth clearance of the product. If there are any punch points, ensure these are cleared promptly.
4. Job documentation: Ensure the documentation is done as per the job requirement and is submitted in a timely manner.
5. Vendor approval: Carry out vendor inspection to certify/re- certify vendors.
6. Vendor quality rating: Ensure appropriate data is captured for every job executed to be able to rate vendors on a regular frequency.
