- Operate and monitor the plant through the Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure secure, stable, and uninterrupted operations in line with the production plan, quality standards, and operating procedures.
- Continuously monitor and control critical process parameters from the DCS panel and ensure timely recording of operational data in logbooks and digital reporting systems.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), including start-up, shutdown, and emergency operating procedures.
- Optimize plant performance by minimizing losses related to raw materials, utilities, energy, chemicals, and finished products while maximizing process efficiency.
- Monitor process performance, identify deviations, and initiate corrective actions to maintain product quality, plant reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, Utility, and other support teams for planned maintenance activities, equipment isolation, troubleshooting, and timely restoration of plant operations.
- Respond effectively to process upsets, alarms,



equipment failures, and emergency situations by taking appropriate corrective actions in coordination with field operations and shift teams.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and statutory requirements while promoting safe work practices and process safety standards.
- Participate in process optimization, continuous improvement initiatives, energy conservation programs, and operational excellence projects.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shift reports, production records, operational logs, and other documentation required for effective shift handover and performance monitoring.
- Support commissioning, start-up, shutdown, trial runs, and plant modification activities as and when required.
- Coordinate closely with field operators and other stakeholders to ensure smooth plant operations and effective communication during routine and abnormal operating conditions.
