Role & responsibilities :

1. Initial Sourcing & Costing
- Supplier Engagement: Spearhead the initial sourcing phase by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding vendor partners capable of meeting quality, volume, and margin targets.
- Cost Optimization: Build accurate cost sheets (including fabric, trim, CMT, logistics, and duties) and negotiate aggressively to hit target margins without compromising product integrity.
- Risk Mitigation: Conduct initial risk assessments on new styles/materials regarding delivery timelines, production feasibility, and cost overruns.

2. Fabric & Material Expertise
- Technical Know-How: Leverage deep technical knowledge of woven, knit, and sustainable fabrics (composition, GSM, weave, and shrinkage) to guide the design and production teams.
- Fabric Sourcing: Work closely with mills to source creative, high-quality, and cost-effective fabrics that align with the brand's aesthetic and sustainability goals.

3. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- End-to-End Tracking: Own and manage the Time & Action (T&A;) calendar from initial concept,



proto-sampling, fit approvals, through to bulk production and shipping.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the central pivot between Design, Buying, Sourcing, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure deadlines are met seamlessly.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify production bottlenecks or delays and implement swift course-corrections.

4. Data Analysis & Forecasting
- Trend & Sales Analytics: Analyse past sales data, sell-through rates, and market trends to forecast future demand and category performance.
- Range Planning: Collaborate with the buying and planning teams to build balanced, commercially viable range plans and OTB (Open-to-Buy) strategies.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and suggest markdowns or repeat orders based on data-driven insights.
