Role & responsibilities:
- Manage End-to-End Import Operations
- Manage complete import lifecycle: Shipment planning to documentation to customs clearance to delivery ensuring minimum dwell time at airports and avoid demurrage/storage along with coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, CHAs, and internal stakeholders.
- Customs Clearance & Compliance: Ensure accurate and compliant filing of Bill of Entry (BOE), HS Code classification, valuation Validate duty structure including BCD, IGST, SWS, Anti-Dumping.
- Should be able to handle - Customs queries, assessments, examinations Had hands on work for Duty optimization through applicable notifications, exemptions, FTAs Evaluate and negotiate - Freight rates along with Surcharges through benchmarking rates across forwarders and should have capability to audit freight invoices to eliminate cost leakages.
