About this Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of Software Engineers responsible for designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale Java Microservices solutions. This role will oversee technical delivery, people leadership, strategic planning, and engineering excellence while partnering with business and technology stakeholders across global teams in the United States and India.

The manager will be accountable for team performance, talent development, delivery execution, operational stability, and alignment with organizational technology strategies.

In this Role, You Will

Leadership & People Management

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers.Establish clear performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and create career development plans for team members.Build a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative engineering culture.Manage workforce planning, resource allocation, hiring, onboarding,



and succession planning activities.Foster continuous learning and promote engineering best practices across the team.

Delivery & Execution

Oversee the delivery of large-scale software engineering initiatives, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives.Drive execution of strategic programs and technology roadmaps across multiple projects and workstreams.Manage project priorities, dependencies, risks, issues, and escalation paths.Ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile, DevSecOps, and enterprise engineering standards.Partner with product, architecture, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Technical Leadership

Provide technical oversight and guidance for Java Microservices-based application development.Review architecture, design approaches, code quality, and engineering practices.Drive adoption of contemporary engineering principles including cloud-native design, automation, CI/CD, and observability.
