Design Release Engineer - Chassis System Pune, Chennai · FULL_TIME · HYBRID

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Chassis Design & Release Engineer to lead the design, development, validation, and release of chassis systems. The role involves end-to-end product development, supplier coordination, and quality improvement activities in an automotive OEM/Tier-1 setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, durability, NVH, suspension kinematics, and automotive product development processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, validation, and release of Chassis systems and components for current and future vehicle programs.




- Own engineering activities for one or more chassis domains including Suspension, Steering, Brakes, Wheels & Tires, Pedal Systems, and Chassis Accessories.
- Perform component design, CAD development, packaging studies, tolerance analysis, and BOM/PLM management.
- Define system requirements, performance targets, durability objectives, and development plans to meet vehicle quality, cost, weight, and timing targets.
- Manage end-to-end product development activities including requirement definition, supplier selection, technical reviews, design validation, testing, and engineering change management.
- Develop and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R;, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP documentation, and support product validation activities.
- Support vehicle dynamics, suspension kinematics, wheel alignment, durability, fatigue, NVH, handling, stiffness, and homologation requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers on design reviews, tooling, manufacturing
