Minimum Experience : 10 Years

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including supplier, customer and partnership contracts.

2. Provide pragmatic legal advice to business units on commercial, corporate and regulatory matters.

3. Manage and oversee litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution processes, including instructing and supervising external counsel.

4. Develop, maintain and implement legal policies, templates and standard clauses to reduce risk and improve consistency.

5. Support corporate governance activities, board papers and minute preparation for governance committees.

6. Conduct legal risk assessments and provide concise summaries and recommended mitigations for senior stakeholders.

7. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, advising on regulatory change and its business impact.

8. Lead or support transactional activity, including M&A; due diligence and contract novations.

9. Manage relationships with external law firms and monitor related costs and performance.

Provide training and guidance to non-legal colleagues on contract management, compliance and legal obligations.

11. Oversee data protection and confidentiality matters in collaboration with relevant teams.

12. Supervise and develop junior legal staff, including allocation of work and performance reviews.

13. Prepare explicit, concise legal reports and summaries for senior management and stakeholders.

14. Identify and deliver process improvements to enhance legal department efficiency.

Required Skills:

1. Experience managing litigation and instructing external counsel.

2. Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance and risk management principles.

3. Demonstrable line management experience and ability to mentor junior lawyers.

4. Excellent drafting, analytical and drafting skills with strong attention to detail.
