OVERVIEW

TNS is seeking an Android Developer with 8+ years of experience in Android,
Kotlin and Java to contribute across the full software lifecycle, with a strong
focus on software development, systems architecture, component integration,
CI/CD implementation, and enhancing application security on android terminals
for payments processing in close collaboration with internal teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Must have strong Android, Kotlin, Java, Linux, firmware, database (Room),
device SDKs, MVVM, Data Binding.
* Experience with modern Android frameworks and tools, such as Jetpack Compose
and dependency injection (Hilt)
* Must have strong computer science fundamentals like algorithms, data
structures, multi-threading, UI, oops concepts and good debugging experience.
* Hands-on experience in programming methodologies and implementations like,
Finite State Machine, Android Inter Process Communications,



Timers etc
* Experience with Android build and test tooling (e.g. Gradle, emulators,
device),
* Experience with CI/CD (GitLab CI or similar), automated testing (JUnit,
Espresso, UI Automator, Robolectric)
* Strong technical software background with good analytical, problem solving,
and communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work
collaboratively in a team setting with ability to meet deadlines
* Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including scoping,
planning, conception, design, implementation, deployment and maintenance.
* Design, code high quality software components and document them in accordance
with organizational standards, technical requirements, and detailed designs
that meet industry standards.
* Be able to work in an independent manner as part of an Agile scrum team
* Be able to research technical solutions and recommend options with
appropriate rea
