Senior Dam Design Engineer (Hydraulics)Experience Range: 8+ years Qualification: Bachelor of Civil Engineering/ Technology Location: Bengaluru/Pune A Senior Dam Design Engineer (Hydraulics) leads the conceptualization, modeling, and detailed design of hydraulic structures for dams and reservoirs, such as spillways, intakes, and energy dissipators. This role demands expertise in advanced hydraulic modeling, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure safe, effective, and compliant water infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Hydraulic Modeling & Analysis: Conduct advanced 1 D, 2 D, and 3 D hydraulic modeling (e.g., using HEC-RAS,



Flow-3 D, or ANSYS CFD) to simulate flow dynamics, flood routing, and reservoir operations. Hydraulic Design of different dam structures: Lead the design of complex hydraulic appurtenances including spillways, stilling basins, intake/outlet works including hydropower intakes, tunnels, and diversion schemes and channels. Dam Safety & Risk Assessment: Perform dam break analysis, hydraulic capacity assessments and contribute to Potential Failure Mode Analyses (PFMA) and dam safety evaluations. Cross-Discipline Coordination: Work seamlessly with geotechnical, structural, and environmental engineering teams to integrate hydraulic requirements into the broader dam design. Project & Team Leadership: Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets. Mentor junior engineers and review technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
