CNC Operator Performing Quality Assessments Job Description Duties/: Machine Operation & CyclicalLoading/: Use specialised vices, fixture jigs, and hydraulic chuck systems to safely open, load, secure, and clear raw materials inside CNC turning centers or VMC units. Dimensional Quality Inspection/: Use thread plug gauges, digital callipers, vernier scales, and precise micrometres to do thorough dimensional inspection tests on finished items to make sure they match blueprint specifications. ToolWear & InsertMonitoring/: Under the guidance of the CNC Programmer or Setter, perform safe manual tool insert swaps, monitor cutting edge degradation during shifts, and enter basic wear offset values. Basic Preventive Maintenance/: Carry out basic machine housekeeping tasks, such as removing metal chips, keeping an eye on lubricating oil indicators, and modifying the ratios of water/-soluble coolant. Geometric blueprint literacy includes matching work instructions, recognising significant dimensional boundaries, comprehending standard datum lines,



and reading and interpreting basic blueprint characteristics. Focus Skills/: CNC Control Interface Literacy/: The ability to navigate screens and keep an eye on program line tracking using a functional understanding of typical CNC machine control screens, such as those made by Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or Mazak. Precision Gauging & Inspection Competency/: The ability to reliably operate standard mechanical inspection equipment, such as go/no/-go gauges, dial test indications, bore indicators, and outside diameter micrometres.
