Job Summary
This position is recognized as a strategic buyer and is responsible primarily
for the purchase and strategy of goods and services in various Indirect
Commodities in an efficient and economical manner following established policies
and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Local strategic sourcing of Indirect Procurement – Services and goods.
· Develop, evaluate,



and manage supplier relationships to accomplish material
cost, availability and inventory goals.
· Negotiate pricing, terms and long-term contracts with strategic suppliers.
· Supplier cost analysis and creating reports / dashboards for management
decisions.
· Closely co-ordinate with global commodity manager to implement Global strategy
for the
subject commodities.
· Analyze supplier cost / pricing information and benchmark the competition.
· Troubleshoot/analyze continuous/reoccurring quality problems and work with
supplier to resolve them, in a commitment for continuous improvement.
· Organize and facilitate product teams for problem solving or issue resolution.
· Maintain supplier quality and delivery through assessment, evaluation and
ongoing monitoring.
· Support engineering, sales and production by providing supplier delivery and
open order data in order to assist in the most cost-effective utilization of
materials.
