Role Description The Senior iOS Forensics Engineer is a full time, remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced forensic tooling and techniques for iOS devices. Daily responsibilities include performing in-depth analysis of iOS internals, file systems, and application behavior to extract, preserve, and interpret digital evidence in a secure, repeatable manner.



The role involves building and refining automated workflows for data collection, reverse engineering key system components, and collaborating with security engineers and incident responders to support investigations and operational needs. The engineer will document methodologies, produce clear technical reports, and contribute to internal knowledge bases and best practices. This role also requires proactively staying current with iOS updates, security features, and emerging forensic methods to ensure Hexon’s capabilities remain modern and effective.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in iOS internals, including file systems, security architecture, system logs, and application sandboxing.
Hands-on experience with mobile forensics tools and frameworks, and the ability to design custom forensic utilities when needed.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for iOS and tooling development (such as Swift, Objective-C, Python, or similar).
