ITS A CONTRACT TO HIRE ( C2H) ROLE

Details of The Project-

The Engineer's role is to provide high level of understanding of project requirement and implementation services to all areas in data centers, by ensuring that all networking infrastructure satisfies the requirements of given application environment and conforms to all applicable standards. This will involve working on project tasks throughout the datacenter networks per approved change window and architectural guidelines.

The engineer will work on various network hardware/software but biased towards Cisco Routers, Switches and Cisco/F5 Load balancers and Cisco/Checkpoint/Palo-Alto firewalls, including both configuration & implementation on customer-facing devices.

The engineer is required to update/maintain all documentation requested by management and will be tasked with improving such documentation as required.

Scope - Engineer will be dealing with the Incident and Change Management.

Required Technical Skill Set-

Advanced/Expert Check Point Firewall, Check Point R82 Upgrade, Firewall Policy Management, VPN, NAT, IPS, ClusterXL, VSX

Experience - 10+ years (8+ years should be relevant)

Location - Bangalore/Hyderabad/Chennai/Kolkata

Must-Have-

Advanced/Expert Check Point firewall experience

Candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Check Point firewall administration, policy management, troubleshooting, and production support.Check Point R82 upgrade and migration experience

Should have worked on firewall upgrade/migration activities, including pre-checks, compatibility validation, implementation, post-checks, and rollback planning.

Strong knowledge of firewall security features

Must be comfortable with NAT, VPN, IPS, URL filtering, access control policies, log analysis, and security rulebase optimization.

High availability and clustering knowledge

Should have hands-on experience with Check Point ClusterXL, HA failover, sync issues, route failover, and gateway health checks.

Production troubleshooting experience

Must be able to troubleshoot complex connectivity, policy,



routing, VPN, NAT, and application access issues in enterprise environments

Must-Have-

Experience in Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, or F5 technologies.

Knowledge of automation or scripting for firewall rule analysis, backup, or validation.

Experience working in BFSI or large enterprise security environments.

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

• Work with project management teams to ensure that project deliverables are understood and timescales are committed to and met.

• Responsible for the technical review / approval of network level changes and implementation of the most complex changes

• Work with other technical groups to help delivery of business-critical projects

Maintain sufficient familiarity with business / application / systems requirements

• Provide project implementation support during business and occasionally off business hours.

• Create and update network infrastructure documentation.

• Provide input to the manager of Provisioning teams to define / refine group practices to meet team's objectives.
