Position Summary


Indus Action is looking for an Associate Director/Senior Lead in Lucknow to project manage the engagements across different departments in the state to enable welfare access for the most vulnerable citizens. The projects will be in areas of sustained livelihoods (with a focus on Building and Other Construction Workers Act) and other welfare entitlements offered for poverty alleviation by the state.


Role and Responsibilities Zonal Operations -


● Diagnose for pain points and blockers in the process towards efficient welfare access alongside the Citizen Experience Learning Lab (CELL) within Indus Action and the relevant government department.


● Collaborate with CELL, monitoring team and the tech team internally,



and with the relevant stakeholders across government departments to prototype solutions that support scaling within the state


● Monitor the effectiveness of the interventions, rigorously evaluate, and engage all stakeholders proactively in making improvements


● Build structures, systems to support the execution of the programmes with a focus on continuous feedback loops from the impacted citizens and government stakeholders




● Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for building state capacity for sustained delivery against prototyped solutions


● Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including government departments, NGOs, and private sector partners


● Manage alignment between stakeholders across different government departments (planning and labour) for effective integration


● Proactively identify possible risks in the delivery of committed outputs (welfare access to citizens) and align the team to mitigate for the same


Team Management:


● Manage and mentor teams to ensure they are equipped to achieve program objectives


● Provide feedback and coaching for enabling the development of team members


● Strengthen capacity within the team on project management, collateral development and


knowledge management to strengthen organisational learning


Financial Management:


● Monitor programme budgets and ensure that they are being managed effectively

● Capable to work with senior level government functionaries and navigate through ambiguity

● Ideate out of the box solutions through a complex situation in programme management


● Valuable analytical (data/evidence gathering, analysis and interpretation, hypotheses framing and


validation).

Education and Experience

● Bachelor’s Degree from any stream (preference will be given to candidates with background of public policy & social science, Master’s degree is a good to have)


● Minimum of 8 years of experience in program management with at least 2 years of experience in the government sector

Compensation



0. The compensation will be based on the Indus Action‘s compensation benchmarking rubric. The range of compensation will be depending on the qualifications, experience and fit to the role.



The candidate would need to use his/her own laptop and the organization will bear the annual
maintenance cost upto 12000 per year as per actuals.
