Role Overview:

Most geophysical work today remains fragmented outsourced surveys, poor QA/QC, disconnected datasets, and limited integration with chemistry or computation. We believe the future of Earth Sciences will be built through tightly integrated field intelligence systems that continuously learn from the planet.

This role is an opportunity to help build that future from the ground up.

Responsibilities

- Design and execute geophysical field campaigns across agricultural, weathering, and geological sites.
- Lead on-ground acquisition for methods such as:
- Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT)
- Induced Polarization (IP)
- Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
- Seismic surveys
- Magnetics / EM surveys

- Develop field SOPs, calibration protocols, QA/QC systems, and acquisition standards.
- Integrate geophysical datasets with:

- Geochemistry
- Mineralogy
- Remote sensing
- GIS layers
- Topography and hydrology

- Interpret subsurface structure, weathering profiles, groundwater movement, and lithological variations.
- Work closely with our science, MRV, and compute teams to build scalable subsurface models and predictive systems.
- Contribute to scientific publications, whitepapers, and internal technical reports.

Requirements
- MSc / PhD in Geophysics, Applied Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or related disciplines.




- Robust hands-on experience running field campaigns independently.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting geophysical instruments in real-world conditions.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings.
- Familiarity with inversion workflows, signal processing, and subsurface modelling.
- Experience with tools such as:
- Oasis Montaj
- RES2DINV / RES3DINV
- ReflexW
- ArcGIS / QGIS
- Python / MATLAB preferred

- Ability to work in rugged field environments across India.
- Strong scientific writing and analytical thinking.

Nice to Haves
- Experience combining airborne, satellite, and ground datasets.
- Prior work in tropical or monsoonal geologies.
- Familiarity with ML/AI workflows for geoscience datasets.
