Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Operations Associate to lead complex operational workstreams across Alt Carbon.

You'll own projects from planning through execution, working closely with internal teams, vendors, logistics partners, and field teams to ensure operations run smoothly. Beyond day-to-day execution, you'll help build the processes, systems, and operational playbooks that enable Alt Carbon to scale.

This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You'll spend time both in the field and behind the scenessolving problems, improving workflows, and helping teams execute more effectively.

Regular travel to our project locations will be required.

Responsibilities Lead operational execution

- Own end-to-end execution of operational workstreams across multiple projects and geographies.
- Develop execution plans, monitor timelines, and ensure operational milestones are delivered on schedule.
- Anticipate operational risks and proactively resolve bottlenecks before they impact execution.
- Drive high-quality execution across field operations and project deployments.

Build systems that scale
- Design, document, and continuously improve operational processes and SOPs.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions that improve reliability and execution speed.
- Build reporting mechanisms and operational dashboards to improve visibility across projects.
- Standardise workflows as operations expand into recent regions.

Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Work closely with Science, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, GIS, and Field Operations teams.
- Ensure seamless communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Align project execution across multiple functions with competing priorities.

Manage external stakeholders




- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, logistics partners, landowners, and community stakeholders.
- Coordinate procurement, transportation, and on-ground execution across multiple operational partners.
- Ensure external stakeholders are aligned with project timelines and quality expectations.

Mentor and enable the team
- Support onboarding and mentoring of junior Operations Associates.
- Share operational best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Help create systems that allow the broader Operations team to execute more effectively.

What We're Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, project management, agriculture, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to independently own complex operational projects from planning to execution.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across internal teams and external partners.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.
