Key Responsibilities

- Custom Application & Add-on Development: Design, code, and deploy custom Google Workspace add-ons, web apps, and extensions (Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Gmail, Drive, Chat) using Google Apps Script and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- API Integration: Integrate third-party tools, databases, and RESTful APIs with Google Workspace services using OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- Workflow Automation: Identify manual business processes and automate them using Google Workspace APIs, AppSheet, and backend cloud services.
- GCP Infrastructure: Manage, deploy, and scale serverless backend components using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and App Engine.
- Data Management & Analytics: Build automated reporting pipelines, dynamic dashboard solutions, and data sync tools connecting Workspace tools to BigQuery, Looker Studio, or external SQL databases.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all custom applications and integrations comply with company security policies, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and Google's OAuth consent requirements.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Debug runtime errors, manage version control (Git), optimize execution times to comply with Apps Script quotas/limits, and provide technical support for internal tools.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills

- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Core Languages: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3, and JSON.
- Google Platform Expertise:





- Hands-on experience with Google Apps Script (V8 runtime) and building Google Workspace Add-ons (Card Service / Manifest files).
- Deep understanding of Google Workspace APIs (Gmail API, Drive API, Sheets API, Admin SDK, Google Chat API).
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically GCP Console setup, OAuth 2.0 scopes, Service Accounts, and IAM permissions.

- No-Code / Low-Code: Experience building data-driven business applications using Google AppSheet.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and local development tools like CLASP (Command Line Apps Script Projects).

Soft Skills

- Robust problem-solving skills and ability to translate vague business needs into technical solutions.
- Clear technical documentation skills for architectural designs, API endpoints, and user guides.
- Good collaboration skills to work with cross-functional non-technical teams (HR, Sales, Operations).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

- Proficiency in a backend language such as Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace Marketplace app publishing processes.
- Certifications:

- Google Associate Cloud Engineer
- Google Professional Cloud Developer

- Experience integrating generative AI capabilities (e.g., Gemini API, Vertex AI) into Workspace workflows.
