- Ensure timely compliance with all statutory approvals, licenses, and safety regulations (PESO, DISH, Factory Act, SMPV Rules, etc.)
- Manage periodic inspections, testing, and certifications for pressure vessels, fire systems, lifting equipment, and utilities
- Conduct and coordinate safety audits (internal & external), mock drills, and statutory reporting
- Lead Safety Committee activities and ensure closure of action points
- Drive daily site safety rounds to eliminate unsafe acts and conditions
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents with root cause analysis and CAPA implementation
- Oversee emergency preparedness, PPE availability, fire protection systems, and crisis management readiness
- Plan and execute safety trainings, IMS/ISO compliance, and maintain training matrix
- Ensure adherence to occupational health, vehicle safety, and plant safety protocols
Preferred candidate profile
- B.Sc. Chemistry / B.E. Chemical Engineering
- Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (Mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, OSHA standards, and chemical safety
- Experience in hazardous chemical manufacturing workplace
