Required Skills

- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in IBM Cognos BI / Analytics (10.x and 11.x).
- Solid expertise in Framework Manager modeling and Data Modules.
- Expert in Report Studio / Cognos Reporting list, crosstab, chart, dashboard, active report, drill-through, bursting.
- Strong SQL skills complex joins, window functions, query optimization, execution plan reading.
- Solid grasp of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions.
- Experience with at least one enterprise RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, DB2) and ideally a cloud warehouse (Snowflake, Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Understanding of ETL concepts and exposure to tools like SSIS, Informatica, ADF, or DataStage.
- Working knowledge of Cognos administration content store, dispatcher, security, audit.
- Experience deploying Cognos in dev/test/prod lifecycles, version control, and CI/CD principles.
- Experience working with multiple BI and analytics platforms such as Cognos, Apache Superset, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, BusinessObjects, or similar tools.
