Key Responsibilities:

Conduct laboratory and field testing of construction materials such as concrete, cement, aggregates, soil, steel, and bricks.

Perform fresh concrete tests including slump test, temperature check, sampling, and cube casting.

Carry out hardened concrete tests including compressive strength, density, and other specified quality tests.

Maintain quality documentation, test reports, calibration records, and laboratory registers.

Inspect inward materials to ensure compliance with approved specifications.

Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Site Engineering, QA/QC, and RMC suppliers for testing and quality-related activities.

Prepare, cure, and maintain concrete cube samples.

Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.

Report material non-conformities and prepare periodic laboratory reports.

Ensure laboratory housekeeping, safety compliance, and support quality audits.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.





2-5 years of experience in a construction materials testing laboratory or quality control department. Fresh graduates with relevant training may also be considered.

Knowledge of construction material testing methods and applicable IS, ASTM, or equivalent standards.

Familiarity with laboratory equipment, calibration procedures, and documentation.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of concrete and construction material testing procedures.

Understanding of quality assurance and quality control practices in construction projects.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in testing and reporting. Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and coordination skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
