Data Engineer II

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in Database Development, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Integration initiatives.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions using Azure data integration technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Databricks.
- Strong expertise in Azure Databricks and PySpark for developing scalable, high-performance data pipelines.
- Proficient in SQL development, with extensive experience writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries in Azure-based or other relational database platforms.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, source code management, CI/CD processes, and Azure DevOps/GitHub integration.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience supporting multiple clients in regulated and compliance-driven environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams to implement and promote data management frameworks and governance standards.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented, team-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex data and system issues.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting data management and analytics initiatives for Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences organizations.
- Hands-on experience with data-centric platforms and implementations, including CRM/SFA solutions and Business Intelligence tools.
- Experience working with Salesforce, Veeva CRM, or similar customer relationship management platforms.
- Prior experience with Veeva Network and Master Data Management solutions.
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences data ecosystems, including customer master, sales, and commercial data domains.
- Microsoft Azure Data Engineer certifications such as DP-203 and/or DP-700.
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate certification.
- Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI technologies, including experience designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered agents and automation solutions.
- Familiarity with modern data architectures, data governance practices, and cloud-native analytics platforms.
