Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Plastics Engineering, or related field

Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Engineer Injection Moulding to manage day-to-day injection moulding production, ensure smooth machine operation, optimize processes, minimize rejection and downtime, and achieve production and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and monitor daily injection moulding production as per the production schedule.
- Set and optimize injection moulding machine/process parameters.
- Handle machine setting, mould changeover, start-up and process stabilization.
- Monitor cycle time, productivity, rejection, downtime and OEE.
- Troubleshoot common injection moulding defects such as short moulding, sink marks, warpage, flash, burn marks and flow marks.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room and Production Planning teams.
- Ensure proper handling and processing of materials such as PP, ABS, Nylon, PBT, PC/ABS and other engineering plastics.




- Identify opportunities for cycle-time reduction, rejection reduction and process improvement.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, safety standards and 5S.
- Maintain production records, shift reports and process documentation.
- Train and guide operators and technicians on machine operation and process parameters.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and resolve machine-related production issues.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of injection moulding processes and machine settings.
- Good understanding of moulds, mould changeover and process parameters.
- Knowledge of injection moulding defects and troubleshooting.
- Experience with cycle-time optimization, rejection control and OEE.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, TPM and basic quality tools.
- Ability to work in shifts and manage shop-floor activities.
- Good communication and team-handling skills.
