Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with 8 to 9 years of experience to lead end-to-end testing activities for the zpayments domain. The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in manual and functional testing, database testing using medium to complex SQL queries and stored procedures, API testing, and experience validating complex transaction workflows. The candidate should also have experience in leading and managing Functional Automation and Performance Testing teams, driving automation and performance testing initiatives alongside functional testing to ensure comprehensive quality coverage. This is a hands-on leadership role where the individual is expected to contribute actively to testing while providing technical guidance to the team, driving test strategy, troubleshooting complex issues, identifying risks, and ensuring adherence to quality best practices. The role involves analyzing business requirements, preparing test strategies, estimates, test plans, and test cases, coordinating testing activities across onsite and offshore teams, executing functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, automation, and performance testing activities, managing defects through closure, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. The QA Lead is expected to mentor team members, review test artifacts, remove technical roadblocks, support critical defect analysis, and foster a culture of continuous improvement rather than simply tracking tasks or following up on status.

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end testing activities for the zpayments domain, including functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, automation, and performance testing.
- Drive manual and functional testing, database testing using medium to complex SQL queries and stored procedures, and API testing; validate complex transaction workflows.




- Lead and manage Functional Automation and Performance Testing teams; drive automation and performance testing initiatives alongside functional testing to ensure comprehensive quality coverage.
- Contribute actively to testing as a hands-on leader; provide technical guidance, drive test strategy, troubleshoot complex issues, identify risks, and ensure adherence to quality best practices.
- Analyze business requirements and prepare test strategies, estimates, test plans, and test cases; coordinate testing activities across onsite and offshore teams.
- Manage defects through closure and ensure high-quality software delivery; mentor team members, review test artifacts, remove technical roadblocks, support critical defect analysis.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Postman, SQL Server Management Studio or Oracle SQL Developer, and test management tools like Zephyr or equivalent.
- Hands-on exposure to automation and performance testing tools such as Katalon, Harness, Selenium, JMeter, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience working on payment processing, card transactions, payment gateways, settlement, reconciliation, or other high-volume transaction systems is preferred.
- The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, demonstrate strong ownership and accountability, be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in an Agile environment.
