Key Responsibilities
Solution Design: Lead the creation of detailed architectural blueprints and technical designs that leverage out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities while ensuring scalability.
Platform Governance: Establish and enforce coding standards, configuration management, and development "guardrails" to prevent over-customization and ensure smooth future upgrades.
Technical Leadership: Act as a "Subject Matter Expert" (SME) to mentor developers and administrators, resolving complex technical trade-offs and ensuring adherence to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
Integration Strategy: Design secure, enterprise-level integration architectures between ServiceNow and third-party systems (e.g., Azure, SAP, AWS) using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP, and middleware.
Innovation & Roadmapping: Evaluate new ServiceNow release features (e.g., GenAI, Predictive Intelligence) to determine their applicability to the current workplace and business goals.
Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with executive leadership and business owners to translate strategic requirements into functional platform capabilities.
Technical Skills & Experience
Platform Depth: Minimum 8 years of IT experience,
with at least 35 years specifically focused on ServiceNow architecture and design.
Development Expertise: Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Script Includes, and UI Pages.
Frameworks: Deep understanding of ITIL processes, HR, Custom App, Integrations and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
Architecture Patterns: Strong knowledge of Scoped Applications versus Global Scope to maintain platform security and upgradeability.

- Experience with complex integrations and environments
- Complete Code Reviews for the team
- Strong technical knowledge
- Complete technical design on large innovate projects
- Good communication skills and can be customer facing
Certifications
Required:
Certified System Administrator (CSA).
Certified Application Developer (CAD).
Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) (at least 2–3 mainline certifications such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM or HRSD).
Preferred for Senior/Architect Roles:
Certified Technical Architect (CTA): Focuses on technical design and complex implementations.
Certified Master Architect (CMA): The highest tier, focused on large-scale enterprise transformation and strategic business value.
