Job Summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible to plan and conduct all levels of verification against our software products within an agile team of designers, developers and testers. The candidate will use the test tools provided and agile processes to assist developers, ensure that the products work as expected and manage the tools, frameworks and verification environments.

This position reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and is part of the Software Department team located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Lead and scale Verification excellence by building and developing high-performing verification teams, ensuring predictable delivery, exceptional product quality, adherence to SCIEX development processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Define and drive the organizations Verification, Regression, and Automation strategy by establishing scalable test frameworks, improving automation coverage and efficiency, identifying process gaps, and enabling data-driven quality decisions that accelerate delivery while reducing risk.
- Provide leadership across globally distributed teams by fostering effective collaboration, strong communication, shared accountability, and alignment to business objectives while driving successful execution across multiple programs and releases.
- Drive technical innovation and framework evolution through the adoption of contemporary verification technologies, automation tools, third-party solutions, and engineering best practices that improve product quality, scalability, and team productivity.
- Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including, hiring, setting, and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; Drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.
- Partner with cross-functional and executive stakeholders to communicate quality strategies, program health, risks,



customer concerns, and operational metrics while influencing strategic decisions that support business and customer success.
- Establish a culture of quality ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence across programs and releases.

The essential requirements of the job include:

- 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, verification, or quality engineering with demonstrated success leading large-scale verification organizations and complex product programs.
- Strong understanding of verification methodologies, quality management systems, risk-based testing, automation strategies, and release quality governance.
- Proven experience driving automation transformation initiatives, scalable test frameworks, CI/CD integration, and engineering productivity improvements.
- Proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and organizational capability growth.
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across engineering, product management, quality, and executive leadership and working with distributed global teams and driving outcomes across multiple locations, time zones, and organizational boundaries.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

- Experience leading quality and verification initiatives for regulated products, preferably within Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, or Analytical Instrumentation domains.
- Demonstrated success in driving organizational transformation, quality maturity, and automation-first strategies.
- Experience establishing quality metrics, operational dashboards, and data-driven decision-making processes and track record of successfully managing technical leads, and large engineering teams while delivering sustainable business outcomes.
