Required Technical Skills

SAP ABAP

- 11+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong expertise in ABAP Objects (OO ABAP).
- Excellent knowledge of reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Strong experience with BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, Enhancement Framework, and implicit/explicit enhancements.
- Good understanding of ABAP debugging and performance optimization.
- Experience developing reusable and maintainable ABAP solutions.

SAP HANA

- Solid hands-on experience in SAP HANA development and optimization.
- Experience with ABAP on HANA.
- Strong knowledge of CDS Views and data modelling.
- Experience with AMDP.
- Understanding of HANA database concepts, SQL, and performance optimization.
- Ability to develop HANA-optimized applications following S/4HANA best practices.

RAP Mandatory

- Hands-on experience with RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model) is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of RAP architecture and programming model.
- Experience developing RAP Business Objects.

- Strong experience in developing ABAP CDS Views.
- Knowledge of CDS annotations, associations, compositions, and analytical capabilities.
- Experience developing and consuming OData services.
- Good understanding of OData V2 and OData V4.
- Experience integrating backend services with SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.

SAP S/4HANA & Modern Development

- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and development principles.
- Experience in S/4HANA custom code migration and remediation.
- Knowledge of Clean Core principles.
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA extensibility.




- Experience with released APIs and standard SAP objects.
- Knowledge of modern SAP development approaches and cloud-ready solutions.

Integration & Development

- Experience developing SAP interfaces and integration solutions.
- Good understanding of RFC, BAPI, IDoc, Web Services, OData, and APIs.
- Experience integrating SAP with external systems.
- Knowledge of SAP integration technologies and middleware is an advantage.
- Experience working with SAP Fiori/UI5 backend services is preferred.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working on SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, rollout, or upgrade projects.
- Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5 integration.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP and side-by-side extensibility.
- Exposure to ABAP Cloud is an advantage.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, or modern DevOps practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud Application Programming concepts is an advantage.
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Senior-Level Responsibilities

As a senior technical resource, the candidate will be expected to:

- Provide technical leadership for ABAP HANA development activities.
- Review technical designs and ensure alignment with SAP architecture standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level ABAP developers.
- Conduct technical/code reviews and ensure development quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance and maintainability.
- Drive adoption of modern SAP development practices such as RAP, CDS, Clean Core, and S/4HANA extensibility.
- Collaborate with architects and functional teams to deliver scalable and sustainable SAP solutions.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- SAP technical certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA, or SAP HANA will be an added advantage.
