Job Description -Network Support Engineer

Location: Onsite – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant (Work from Office) Vizag

Job Summary

We are seeking an L1/L1.5 Network Support Engineer to provide onsite operational support for network infrastructure across pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. The engineer will be responsible for day-to-day support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordination to ensure high availability of network services.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide onsite support for LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewalls, CCTV, and Passive Cabling infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving switches, routers, firewalls, wireless devices, printers, IP phones, CCTV systems, and other network-connected equipment.
- Handle remote console access requests and provide first-level support for network incidents.
- Coordinate with local IT support teams, ISP providers, OEM vendors, and third-party service providers for incident resolution and hardware replacements.
- Perform basic root cause analysis (RCA) and maintain accurate incident documentation.
- Obtain vendor quotations for networking hardware, passive components, and related IT infrastructure when required.
- Support network installations, relocations, preventive maintenance,



and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure all incidents and service requests are handled within agreed SLAs and escalate issues to L2/L3 teams when necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with plant users, local support teams, and internal technical teams.

Expectations

- Must be willing to work onsite from the pharmaceutical plant location.
- Must be flexible to extend working hours during critical incidents, maintenance activities, or major outages.
- Should be available to provide support outside business hours, including weekends and holidays, whenever business requirements demand.
- Demonstrate a robust customer service mindset, ownership, and commitment to ensuring uninterrupted plant operations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a 247 operational environment.

Preferred Skills

- Basic knowledge of Routing & Switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, Wireless, and Firewall technologies.
- Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Meraki, or similar networking platforms.
- Good troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and vendor coordination skills.
