Role

The Manager Finance & Accounts will be responsible for managing the Company's complete accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, management accounting, working capital management, budgeting, MIS, audit, banking, statutory compliance, internal audit & controls and financial analysis.

The role will work closely with the CFO and senior management to provide timely and accurate financial information, strengthen financial controls, improve working capital, drive cost optimisation, support business decision-making and ensure effective financial governance across the organisation.

The candidate will also be responsible for leading a team of approximately 56 finance professionals and driving continuous improvement, automation and ERP-based finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

a. Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Manage complete accounting operations and financial records up to finalisation.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and financial statements.
- Drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.
- Review provisions, accruals, reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.
- Ensure accuracy and control over revenue, expenses, inventory, receivables, payables and fixed assets.

b. MIS, Management Reporting & Analysis

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual MIS and management reports for the CFO and senior management.
- Drive Budget vs. Actual, AOP vs. Actual and YoY variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights, dashboards and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Highlight key financial and operational variances and drive corrective actions.

c. Working Capital & Treasury Management

- Manage working capital, cash flow, receivables, payables and daily bank positions.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and funding requirements.




- Monitor liquidity and optimise working capital cycles.
- Coordinate with the CFO on fund planning, utilisation and cash management.

d. Budgeting & Business Planning

- Coordinate AOP, budgeting, forecasting and periodic business reviews.
- Work with functional teams to prepare and monitor budgets.
- Analyse budget variances and drive corrective actions.
- Support the CFO in financial planning, business cases and investment decisions.

e. Audit & Due Diligence

- Coordinate Statutory, Internal and Tax Audits and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure timely submission of audit schedules, supporting documents and closure of observations.
- Support PE/Investor due diligence, financial reviews and transaction-related activities.
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors and professional advisors.

f. Banking & Finance

- Manage day-to-day banking activities and financial transactions.
- Coordinate bank reporting, documentation and compliance requirements.
- Support the CFO in working capital facilities, loans, renewals and funding arrangements.
- Monitor utilisation of banking facilities and compliance with sanctioned terms.

g. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

- Establish and monitor internal financial controls, policies and processes.
- Identify control gaps and implement corrective measures.
- Drive process automation, standardisation and cost-control initiatives.
- Strengthen financial governance and risk management.

h. Inventory & Fixed Assets





- Ensure proper accounting, control and reconciliation of inventory and fixed assets.
- Coordinate physical verification and reconciliation activities.
- Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving/obsolete inventory and fixed asset movements.

i. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure timely statutory filings, tax payments and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and qualified advisors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.

j. ERP & Finance Automation

- Own and optimise finance-related ERP processes and systems.
- Coordinate with IT on ERP implementation, enhancements and integrations.
- Drive automation of accounting, MIS and reporting processes.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

k. Business & Operations Support

- Partner with Operations, Procurement, Sales, HR and other functions on financial and commercial matters.
- Provide financial analysis for business decisions, commercial proposals and cost optimisation.
- Identify financial risks and proactively highlight them to the CFO and management.
- Support initiatives to improve profitability, efficiency and business performance.

l. Team Management

- Lead and manage a team of 56 finance and accounts professionals.
- Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance and ensure timely deliverables.
- Develop team capabilities through coaching and continuous feedback.
- Build a high-performance, process-driven and accountable finance team.

Preferred candidate profile

Chartered Accountant having minimum 5 to 8 years industrial experience preferrably from Food / FMCG Industries, managing the Plant level Finance & Accounting activities, handling a team of atleast 3 to 4 subordinates.
