Job Description

Design Coordinator Wind PMC

The Design Coordinator Wind PMC will support design management, technical coordination, and interface monitoring activities for utility-scale wind energy projects. The role is responsible for coordinating engineering deliverables, tracking IFC readiness, managing design interfaces, and supporting construction and commissioning teams through effective resolution of technical issues.

The position works closely with the Construction Manager Wind PMC, Team Leader Wind PMC, design consultants, OEMs, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely release and implementation of project engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Design Coordination & Interface Management

- Track IFC (Issued for Construction) deliverables related to WTG foundations, ground improvement, roads, crane pads, cable routing, substations, earthing systems, SCADA/communication systems, and grid interfaces.
- Coordinate engineering deliverables between design consultants, contractors, OEMs, and project teams.
- Ensure design deliverables are available to support active construction and commissioning work fronts.

Technical Review & Documentation

- Coordinate RFIs,



Technical Queries (TQs), design comments, and technical clarifications with relevant stakeholders.
- Verify drawing revision status and ensure controlled distribution of approved engineering documents.
- Monitor compliance with project design release requirements and engineering approval processes.

Change Management & Site Support

- Maintain design change registers, deviation logs, and as-built documentation requirements.
- Coordinate engineering support required to resolve construction constraints and commissioning interface issues.
- Facilitate timely closure of design-related issues impacting project execution, safety, quality, or schedule performance.

Reporting & Governance

- Monitor design deliverable status and interface action closures.
- Escalate overdue engineering deliverables and critical design issues affecting WTG installation, commissioning, or project milestones.
- Support regular project reviews by maintaining accurate engineering status reports and trackers.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
- M.Tech or specialized design qualification preferred.

Experience

- 7 to 10 years of experience in wind project engineering, design coordination, or technical interface management.
- Experience supporting WTG foundations, BoP works, roads, substations, cabling,



SCADA systems, and grid integration projects.
- Exposure to PMC, Owner's Engineer, EPC, or engineering consultancy environments preferred.

Certifications

- Qualified Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer certification desirable.
- Training in IEC, IS Codes, CEA Regulations, AutoCAD, ETAP, STAAD Pro, or similar engineering tools preferred.
